weeeeellll it was sort of a rough last week. i felt like God was far away - and it was my own fault. luckily i have the scriptures and the temple, or else i honestly don't know where i'd be. i spent almost all sunday at the temple because it was warm and sunny and the missionaries were there. also can we freak out for a second? i'm going to be a missionary NEXT YEAR. yeah ok. anyway here's my favorite scripture i found in 2 corinthians:
"we are troubled on every side,
yet not distressed;
we are perplexed,
but not in despair;
persecuted,
but not forsaken;
cast down,
but not destroyed;
always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body."
and here's what summed up my week: "Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry." love love love. so grateful for immediate answers to prayers, i've been blessed with a lot of those when i most needed them.

but i always hit the refresh button on my life when i go up to my dear beloved cabin. we love that place. ahh. can't tell you how much those mountains and that fresh air and the smell of pine trees gives me comfort. i love my getaways.
