Welcome! I've kept a little secret blog for a long time, but I thought it would be fun to have a friends one too! It's not going to be very exciting, just about my life! So here goes nothin...
So today went by fast, fast. I took a test in Geography (goodbye Ms. Mckell!), had donuts in Geometry (thank you Jeremy), ate baguettes in French (and had a tearful farewell with Madame Welch), and then cut out my new skirt for sewing!! (It better be cute.)
But between that me and Em went to the seminary lunchside, thanks for reminding me Haylee, and the speaker was Brother Peter Mourik. Sound familiar? Pres. Monson talked about him here. Anyways, it was so crowded they were having overflow classrooms, but me and Em nabbed two chairs outside of the doorway. He was glowing!! And his accent was pretty cool:) Anyways he just gave this Easter message, and talked about the Atonement, and then the Resurrection, and it was so good! He was crying. And precious. He was like "The atonement made men holy, and free." And "The one thing we can give to Jesus is our worthiness." I mean, Christ bled from every pore because for me! He died for me. And he suffered unbearable pain, like think of the worst pain you've felt, and multiply it by a million. The sinless one took on all the pains of the world. And wow it just hit me so hard! If there's only one reason to keep the commandments, (and there's not) it's that we MUST make it up to Him, dont make Him feel like His ultimate sacrifice was for nothing. Brother Mourik said, "We should ask the question Pontius Pilate asked every day for ourselves, 'What shall I do with this Jesus?'" How will I honor Him, keep Him in my heart, and always feel His undeniably loving presence. Oh it was so good! I was tardy for sewing, but it was so worth it!
And it's been sooo pretty the past couple days! Plus look at my cute dog:)
i looooove you!
